Potential Badboy returns to his own imprint Jekyll & Hyde after the highly acclaimed success of his most recent studio album ‘Revolution’ on Playaz last year,
This generous six track EP raises the bar presenting a crossover of old school and more modern day production techniques. Yush provides tight vocals that bring a hype to the tracks ridding the bass riddim. R.O.A.R has an infusion styles within the EP the dark bassy dub inspired half time, creating an infectious sound that will have the headz boppin and speakers jumpin! To a slick jump up dnb crowd pleaser vibe, some serious chopping up production all – out skanking Cowboy Ranger’s vocals float erffortsly like the Imperial Flag!
Potential’s ear for detail will have the listener going back to the tunes again and again, offering something new to discover each time, thereby these tracks will defiantly become further classics. His unique and polished style will certainly please the sophisticated listeners as well as the ravers as the tunes are a perfect addition to any DJ set.
Originally started in the very beginning of the jungle roots back in 1994’ featuring MC Det & Chatter B Jekyll & Hyde remained hidden until when In 2005 Potential Badboy Re- launched the highly successful jungle and vocal drum and bass label Jekyll and Hyde. withe the release of L.O.V.E, with his long time friend reggae singer and MC Yush in 2005, before un-leashing the seminal Classic “I Need A Roof” which is revisited here to great effect alongside Cowboy Ranger. Jekyll and Hyde has received great support in the jungle scene from the likes of Lion dub, Remarc, Rebel MC, Third Eye Recordings, Born On Road crew, Jungle Splash and Jungle Jam. Potential Badboy ended on a high with his last release on the label with Big Man Tings EP in 2012, including features from Junior Dangerous and Yush and tunes like Cyant Stop which is still being played today.
