Cause4Concern Limited is a subsidiary of the neurofunk record label which has repeatedly changed the game since its first essential release. Under the relatively new moniker, they’re still committed to releasing some of the most upfront cuts which slice their way across the drum & bass scene; although this time they’re here to break even more boundaries with their genre shaping releases. Having already played host to a range of artists who’ve helped to shape the contemporary landscape, they are now set to bring on board producers such as Transforma, an artist who has proven himself amongst the ranks of labels like Red Light, Kill Tomorrow, Sinuous, Kill Your Ego and Mindtech. With the Australian producer’s forthcoming EP set to be unleashed through Cause4Concern Limited, the C4C reputation is about to dominate even more of the scene’s most cutting edge records. These are the type of tracks which have already solidly pushed themselves inside the sets of forefathers throughout the drum & bass world’s deepest trenches.

From the raucous sounds of ‘Osiris’, right through to the heavily built, thumping moods of ‘Neuro Surgeon’, Transforma proves that he’s here to make his own lasting impact within the helms of C4C. ‘Osiris’ begins like you’d expect from a record which, despite being painstakingly fashioned, is violent in its catastrophic detonation. ‘Kaiju’ is relentlessly driving, with a bassline that ducks and dives between its fortress like engineering. Then up next, ‘Stealth Mode’ crashes forward with every thumping drum rhythm, becoming more and more urgent as the record progresses. It demonstrates the manoeuvres which Transforma has perfected, slowly creating a production profile for himself and its one which is resonating over the drum & bass audience. The EP ends with ‘Neuro Surgeon’, a clever play on words which points to how operational Transforma is over his music. Together they deliver a colour wheel of the components of his sonics. They’re an explosive look at an artist who’s moving his way through layers of opposition, with a ferocity that’s intimidating even to those with the most decorated history; One more reason why he’s been brought into the C4C army.
