John Rolodex is one of Canada’s premiere drum and bass producers, Djs and radio presenters. He was instrumental in bringing drum and bass music to Western Canada as early as 1996 and has helped establish Canada as a source for DnB talent on the international stage.

He has released music on Metalheadz, Hospital, V Records, Tech Itch and Freak Recordings as well as releasing three EPs on Ray Keith’s Dread Recordings. He is an accomplished remixer and has been commissioned by numerous labels including Dub Chamber, Bad Habit, OG Recordings, Order in Chaos, and Yard Recordings. John’s remix of Ray Keith & MC Navigator’s “No No” is considered a classic.

In 2010 John established his acclaimed Machinist Music imprint, offering an uncompromising outlet for his work and that of like-minded artists. Machinist Music quickly gained worldwide support and led to the rise of Rene LaVice (now signed to Andy C’s Ram Records).

John’s music has been supported by all the top figures in drum and bass including Goldie, Bailey, Dieselboy, SPY, Teebee, Marky, Nu:Tone, Logistics, Nicky Blackmarket, Craze, Dylan, A-Sides and Pendulum and was featured repeatedly by the late John Peel on his legendary BBC Radio 1 show.

A pioneer in providing Dj mixes online, John’s studio mixes have received nearly one million downloads since 2004. He has been featured repeatedly in the media, including Knowledge Magazine, ATM, iDJ, numerous blogs and online publications.

John has performed across North America and Europe headlining events in London, Oslo, Budapest, Copenhagen, Munich, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto and Vancouver to name a few.
