Gwillz - Break It EP

This EP was one of them. Somewhere on the spectrum between Jungle and Jump Up Rollers lives Break It, 4 utter rave weapons from the twisted mind of Welsh producer Gwillz.

Kicking things off is the syncopated Exclusive Style. Wobblier than your nan after 6 gins on a pogo stick, wearing a cardigan made of jelly. Funky stabs permeate the wobblicious underbelly creating a dancefloor friendly call and response pattern, this is gonna shut down the rave.

Going deeper and darker for the B Side, Disturbance has hard choppy drums, which bounce off angry reese basses as the arp swirls and semi-whispered vocal create atmosphere and tension.

The title track, Break It, gets more experimental with its sound design as the gnawing high synth perfectly juxtaposes with the heavy blasts of distorted bass on the drop. This will hit the dancefloor like a hydrogen bomb.

Finally, we welcome back Plasmator, fresh from his debut album The Only Constant with us last year. His collab with Gwillz is called Easy, an ambitious mash up of styles set to take you on a journey full of savage switch ups and aggy bass fills.

The perfect way to round off a ridiculous EP.
